
Kamikaze
The Kamikaze is made of equal parts vodka, triple sec and lime juice.
According to the International Bartenders Association it is served straight up in a cocktail glass.
This cocktail was invented in Japan's Yokosuka naval base (near Tokyo) when the country was under American occupation.
In Japanese, kamikaze means "divine wind".
Ingredients
- 1 Oz Vodka
- 1 Oz Cointreau
- 1 Oz lime juice
Elaboration Process
- Add all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds.
- Add into a cocktail glass with a few ice cubes, using an strainer.
- Garnish with the lime wedge and serve cold.
