Martini
The classic Martini is one of the most popular drink in the world and one of the best-known mixed alcoholic beverages. It is a cocktail made with gin and vermouth, and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist.
There are many ways to make a Martini: gin or vodka, little or no vermouth, stirred or shaken, and an olive or lemon twist garnish.
There is another version: the Dirty Martini. The dirty part comes from the use of olive juice, which is really nice with a quality gin and vermouth.
Ingredients
- 2 and 1/2 Oz gin
- 1/2 Oz dry vermouth.
- 1 or 3 olives or a lemon twist for garnish.
Elaboration Process
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Stir
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
- Garnish with an olive.
