
Blue Hawai
The Blue Hawaii is a tropical cocktail.
The base liquor is usually light rum but vozka may be partially or completely substituted as a matter of taste.
The Blue Hawaii was invented in 1957 by Harry Yee, the bartender of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, Hawaii.
This bartender had to create a new blue cocktail for promotion Curaçao liqueur.
As with most tropical drinks, there are many variations in preparation, presentation, and ingredients.
Ingredients
- 3/4 Oz Light Rum
- 3/4 Oz Vodka
- 1/2 Oz Blue Curacao
- 3 Oz Pineapple Juice
- 1 Oz Sweet & Sour Mix
Elaboration Process
- Add all the ingredients in the cocktail shaker with ice and shake well for few seconds.
- Serve in a tall glass.
- Garnish with a slice of pineapple.
